By Stuart Farquharson
The Farquharsons were a member of a confederation of 12 Highland Clans known collectively as Clan Chattan. Clan Farquharson played a prominent role in the Jacobite Uprisings from the late 17th Century to the mid 18th Century, attempting to return the Stuarts to the throne of England and Scotland. This book highlights the role of Clan Farquharson during the Jacobite Uprising of 1715. It details the role of many members of this clan from the initial gathering at the family castle, Invercauld House, to the trials in London and the deportation to the American colonies.
